About Bimini: the islands of legends

Bimini is 50 miles off Florida and made of two islands, North and South Bimini. Flights land on South Bimini and a short ferry crosses to North Bimini and Alice Town. It was Ernest Hemingway’s favourite seaside hideaway, fishing is what the islands are all about, and you can swim with wild dolphins, dive with great hammerheads, visit the Shark Lab and see poet laureate Ashley Saunders’ Dolphin House.

Why it's on our list

  • 50 miles from Florida
  • Big-game fishing
  • Wild dolphins

Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Bimini: the islands of legends before you go.
