About Long Island: beaches, blue holes and cliffs

Long Island has two faces: dramatic cliffs and caves on the Atlantic side, and gentle beaches on the Bahama Bank. Dean’s Blue Hole drops 663 feet beneath its cliffs and hosts an international free-diving competition. Columbus Point marks the landfall of Christopher Columbus, St Mary’s is the oldest church in the country, and Clarence Town has two twin-towered churches by Father Jerome.
